Welcome to the Chicagoland Lionel Railroad Club Website.   We are one of the premier 3 rail 0 gauge railroad clubs in the Midwest. Our club offers it's members a model railroad experience second to none. Become a member and give your trains a run or attend one of our open houses with your family.                                   The CLRC Will Celebrate America 250/239 at the September 19th Open House

 

The Club’s first open house of the 2026-27 season, September 19, will celebrate America 250/239. The open house date falls during the Congressionally established Constitution week (September 17-23 of each year) and will celebrate the 239th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.  To celebrate the two anniversaries:

 

• The clubhouse will be specially decorated for the day

• In the morning a George Washington reenactor will circulate among the visitors and discuss the Constitution

• From 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Revolutionary War reenactors who are descendants of actual Revolutionary War soldiers will be present in the dress of the era and will circulate among the visitors

• There will be a special photo area where visitors can take their pictures with a life size George Washington cut out 

• In recognition of our country’s 250th anniversary all rolling stock and engines in the retail shop will be discounted 25%

 

 

Tell your family and friends about the event and give them an opportunity to enjoy watching model trains while learning about our nation’s history.

September 19th Open House details:

• ​The Open House will be on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:00 am until 3:00 PM.

• We are located at 1311 South Schoolhouse Road Unit 4, New Lenox, IL.  

• Admission – $6.00 per person, $15.00 for the whole family.
